I’ve been following the board room battle over at Twitter recently and it seems like it is finally coming to a head. First of all Twitter has become a very important app / thing in terms of Western governments and democracy in general. This isn’t quite obvious to everyone. So I’ll try and expand on that quickly. It’s widely acknowledged that a strong and free press is a cornerstone of a democratic system of government. Put simply, if you allow the people the freedom to select their leaders and to be ruled by consent then it would seem optimal that you try and empower the people with as much information as possible so that they can make an informed choice in the ballot box about who should lead.
